Gold medal success for brilliant pupil
Asa Adams, a Year 6 pupil from Woodside Academy, is celebrating a triple gold medal win at a boxing tournament in Norway.
During the tournament, Asa won three matches, contributing to an incredible total of 13 medals for his team from Sedbergh Boxing Club, who were named ‘Team of the Tournament’.
Kirsty Porter, Headteacher, said: “Huge congratulations to Asa who has made everyone at Woodside Academy so very proud.
“Asa told me that his team has an excellent motto of ‘We don’t win or lose, we win or learn”, which is a wonderful approach to competitive sports and one to share with his classmates.”
